Wondering how much you could get if you put up your house for sale? Thinking about buying a house or condo in Mississauga but not sure whether it's in your budget? If so, then you need to do a little research into the current state of Mississauga's real estate market. Let this article be your starting point. It can give you a rough idea of how much you can expect to pay or earn on local real estate.

Small Houses

Mississauga detached homes that are considered small include bungalows with up to three bedrooms and two storey homes with less than 1,500 square feet. To buy a bungalow you're looking at about $402,000 on average, which is up about 13% from last year. The price has jumped over $15,000 in the last three months alone. For a two storey home you're actually looking at less - around $380,000, which is up about 15% from last year.

Large Houses

Under the umbrella of large houses, real estate companies like Royal LePage and Remax Realty, combine everything from a four bedroom two storey house with a double garage to a mansion sized 5+ bedroom house with plenty of extras like a library and over 3,000 square feet of space. A large two storey house goes for about $854,000 these days, while for a mansion you're looking at a figure of at least $928,000, which is a large increase over last year's figure of $850,000.

Town Houses

Town houses are much like the smaller detached houses, except, of course, for them being attached to each other in a row to save space. The average town house has 3 bedrooms and about 1,000 square feet of living space. A real estate agent in Mississauga could probably get around $481,000 for one these. This is up from $367,000 three months ago.

Condos

Mississauga condominiums come in two varieties: standard and luxury. Standards are two bedroom high rise affairs with bare bones amenities and about 900 square feet of space while luxury units are 1,400+ square feet and include extras like balconies, sunrooms, pools, and ensuite laundry. A standard condo in Mississauga runs about $553,500, while a luxury unit is closer to $539,500. These figures are up roughly 16% and 12% over last years averages. >
